History of Midas

In 1956 Nate H. Sherman, Wally Smith, and Bill Mueller opened Midas Muffler. They were three friends, who all shared the same passion to help others in their community. The first shop was opened in Macon, Georgia. Their goal was to provide good service at a reasonable price. They were known as the three wise men of Macon.

MIDAS stands for Muffler Installation Dealers` Associated Service. It was later changed to ” Mufflers & More”, which morphed into the present title of “MIDAS”.

Though their first year of doing business was very successful, they still faced challenges along the way. When they couldn’t afford new mufflers for a broken-down vehicle that came into the shop, one of them would drive out to St Louis late at night with borrowed tools to steal old ones off another unattended lot!

They also had no place to store any inventory which meant that sometimes Nate’s mom had to store the merchandise at her house. They did use box springs for seating, but they were always changing them because customers would often get grease on them!

In 1979 Dave Duncan purchased the company from Nate Sherman. At this time, MIDAS had 11 stores in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida. Under Dave’s leadership, MIDAS increased its store count to more than 100 locations throughout Texas and Louisiana during the 1980s.

Through successful business practices like no other dealer group (Midas remanufactures all of its exhaust parts), growth continued throughout the next decade. MIDAS joined with RAYSER in 2004, when they opened their first store in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Midas Man was selected by NASCAR to be its official automotive service provider in 2005.

Today Midas has over 1700 franchisees throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada. They also operate more than 1500 SpeeDee Oil change locations across the United States and Canada (under its own name) and 688 Automotive Service stores under the Midas Brand (in Canada).

Midas is known for offering quality service at fair prices while employing friendly professionals who do whatever it takes to make customers happy! At one time or another, every person has probably worked with someone like this already but what they may not realize is that it takes a unique person to work in the automotive industry.

What is their mission?

As an organization, MIDAS has made sure to create a culture where people can be successful and have a fulfilling experience while working with them. This philosophy begins with how their employees are trained and continue throughout each franchisee’s tenure with the company.

They currently offer several training programs such as: learning to sell; learning to service; learning for life; learning from 1A (the company’s official service manual); dealer development; and many others.

This high level of support has helped make Midas one of the most respected companies in the automotive industry and it shows whenever you visit any of their locations!

Midas` mission is to be the best professional service organization in North America by providing expert advice, personalized care, and exceptional customer service.

What type of services does Midas offer?

Midas offers more than one service. For example, if you are looking for a brake replacement or oil change then look no further than checking out their official website before you head over to your local location. Be sure to find your closest location, by taking a look at their locations page under the ‘about us’ tab before heading out in case you need an earlier appointment.

Another service that they offer is automotive diagnostics and repair services with specialty tools designed for this line of work. This includes electronic diagnostic equipment like computerized ABS testing, engine performance analysis, and emission control testing.

Their technicians are trained to use all the high-tech equipment necessary to diagnose any issues your vehicle may have. This could be anything from a faulty oxygen sensor to an overheating check engine light! They aim for 100% accuracy in their diagnostics which means you can trust that you’ll receive the right advice about what is wrong with your vehicle along with an accurate estimate of how much it will cost to correct the issue or repair if needed.

They also offer great services like heating and cooling system services (and more!) as well as brake service and fluid replacement including batteries, fluids, filters, and tires—all backed by Midas’ 2 Year/24,000 Mile Warranty. You can find the list of these services, along with their descriptions and prices listed on Midas’ website.

What does Midas use to make their coupon booklets?

Midas coupons are printed in an 8.5×11 format (standard US Measurements) on thick high-quality paper stock for excellent readability. The inside covers are often full-color ads that can feature various styles each time they print up a new booklet.

These inside pages usually contain around 6 coupons directly inside them including one giant front-page coupon that is specific to that particular printing run (no two coupon books have the same front cover). Each individual coupon has its own unique set of instructions about how you can redeem it so please be sure to carefully follow those instructions!

If you are unsure about something, be sure to ask your Midas technician about the coupon you will be using before he/she applies it to your car.

What does Midas offer in their coupons?

Midas offers coupons for services like an oil change or tire rotation which can save you up to $19 on most vehicles! They also have many exclusive coupons that they only print in limited numbers which often include: $50 off any service with the purchase of Brake Service; $20 off Air Filter Replacement; and at times they even offer a free Oil Change with Tire Rotation included (expires after one use)!

Check out all the available coupon booklets by visiting their official website.

Midas and a repair estimate

The company also provides an online repair estimate. This is a great service for those of you who cannot get to a location, but has an issue with their vehicle and wants to know what it would cost if they brought it in. You can visit the website on your own time at your convenience right from the comfort of your own home or on your mobile phone while you are out on the road.

The estimation service allows you to enter in some basic information about your cars such as make and model, year, and the location of the problem. They also ask for specifics like how many miles are on your vehicle and even want you to attach photos of your dashboard or under your hood if that is where the issue lies!

After filling out this form they will give you a rough estimate that can include one or more visits depending on just how complicated it may be.

Midas and special fleet services

The company also has fleet services for companies that have many vehicles. They can provide several different types of fleet warranty plans that can help your bottom line in the long run. These include:

Mobile Fleet Services- This allows technicians to drive their service trucks directly to you instead of you having to bring your car in. It makes getting simple repairs much easier and more convenient for both corporate fleets and trucking companies. You can get custom rates based on how many vehicles you need serviced each year, so the more vehicles your fleet has, the better it will be for your business!

Road Side Assistance- This type of plan is a great addition to a company’s roadside safety plan as Midas’ technicians will arrive with tools on hand to quickly get your vehicle back on the road in no time. The company’s technicians receive training in all types of automotive care and they always arrive ready to solve your problems!

Flat Tire Assurance- This is a great option for truckers who often find themselves with flat tires well out on the open road. Midas can provide tire replacement and emergency roadside assistance so you never have to worry about finding a place where you can change a tire or getting stranded somewhere far from home again.

Contact Midas today for more information about their fleet services, warranty plans, and other special offers that set them apart from their competition!
