  1. You do not get bags for your own groceries or plastic bags. You either carry your items out yourself if you can or purchase plastic bags.
  2. They do not price match with other supermarkets in the area.
  3. Do not rely on self-checkout machines because they will overcharge you for certain items and ring them up at full price when your items are on sale or buy one get one free types of deals. Always go to a cashier instead of using these machines.

These supermarkets are good for purchasing small quantities of Asian products, but if you’re looking for bulk, Chinatown is probably your best bet. The lucky supermarket is also good for fresh fruit and vegetables because they sell it by weight, unlike most American-style markets that sell pre-packaged produce that may be more expensive than what you’d pay at Lucky Supermarket.

Many chains were operated under their old names for several years after takeovers but eventually got rebranded with Lucky branding.

During the 1960-the 1970s, Lucky Supermarkets worked with Gemco and Memco department stores. Now the company mostly operates its own stores in California, Oregon, and Nevada.

Already in 1988 Lucky Supermarkets became a part of American Stores Company, which was one of the largest supermarket chains within the United States at that moment.

The logo – what does it mean?

The Lucky Supermarket logo was introduced in the 1950s. It contains a stylized “L” letter inside a circle, which is a golden yellow color. According to the company itself, the logo was created by founder Max Friedman and it represents the luckiness of the buyers who can feel lucky if they have ever visited this market. The company thinks that there are two reasons why you should be happy while shopping there:
