The history behind Central Market
In 1994 in Austin, Texas, Central Market was first established. The first store is still at the same location, on N Lamar Blvd and Great Hills Trail in Austin, Texas.
A little after a year from it’s opening, Central Market decided to specialize in cooking-inspired products such as artisan cheeses, European-style butchered meats, fresh-baked pieces of bread, and handmade chocolates among other things.
In 1997 HEB company as an owner of this grocery stores chain opened the second store of Central Market in San Antonio, Texas.
