History of AXA Hours

AXA was born way back in 1958 when a small insurer started it in Normandy. All the way to 1980, the small insurer was plotting and strategizing for a market takeover. The 1980s were the years of massive growth for AXA as it bought smaller and bigger insurance companies on its way to the top of the insurance ecosystem in France. By 1990, AXA was an insurance giant in France and took its capital to Paris.

After becoming a dominating force in France, AXA had a new target in mind. It wanted to be an insurance leader in the world. Between 1990 and 2000, the group worked hard to make its presence felt in the global insurance arena. The efforts paid off as the company spread its services to entire Western Europe, parts of the Middle East, North America, and Pacific Asia.

However, it would be misleading to say that AXA has had a smooth ride rising to where the group is today. As from 2000 to 2010, the group was hit by crises ranging from political and socio-economic turbulence. Do you know what they say about how to measure anyone’s strength? It is by looking into difficulties someone or something has been through. In the face of all these crises, AXA was steadfast and resilient and they pulled through. After the lessons learned, it was time for the group to reorganize and help alleviate a repeat of the same as well as stay prepared for the future.

From 2010 to date, AXA has been on a growth trajectory aimed and stamping their feet on not only the global insurance but also taking up their social responsibility with seriousness. There is a new look and approach by AXA and that serves to keep the group a key player in the insurance world and corporate social responsibility
